Los Angeles – Price Jackson (16) has just received his blue belt in the Japanese martial art Jiu Jitsu.
The son of the late Michael Jackson acquired his belt at the Gracie Academy in Beverly Hills, California, last week.
The blue belt follows the skill level of the white belt, and requires you to learn 34 different manoeuvres.
One is a type of chokehold, which is called a guillotine. This position allows the user to gain a physical advantage around the opponents elbow.
This allows the fighter to achieve a restraining straddling position called an elevator sweep, which has about four different techniques.
TMZ.com explains that there are five belts; white, blue, purple, brown and black.
It is difficult to move up the ranks as it takes a lot of diligence and determination. For Prince to achieve a purple belt, he will have to learn another 600 moves.
Gracie Academy has trained many Mixed Martial Arts stars, such as Brendan Schaub, Nate Diaz, Antoni Hardonk and Tim Tebow.
