India helping to build a film city in Nigeria

Lagos – India is supporting Nigeria to set up a film city in Kano State for the growing film industry, as part of its “development partnership” with Africa, AllAfrica reports.
The project is partly to help the country with job creation for their fast-growing youth and so that the films could become a ‘fruitful export ‘for the country.
The EXIM Bank of India have been financing Bollywood films in India and are in turn advising their Nigerian counterparts, NEXIM on how to go about financing films.
Nollywood, the film industry of Nigeria, produces around one thousands films a year.
