Africa gets its first Blogger Awards

Cape Town – For the first time ever African bloggers and other social media hounds will be recognised on the continent for their expertise in the 2014 African Blogger Awards.
The award uses influence data analysis to select bloggers and social media users from across the continent.
The awards are divided into 36 categories that include: Advice, Fashion and Beauty, Events and Nightlife, Education, Sports, Political, Technology and Gadgets, and Youth Culture.
Entrants are required to register their blog or social media accounts and must be permanent residents of any African country.
Entries for the awards close on 9 March and results will be announced on 16 Aprilon the competition’s Twitter profile.
Winners will be hosted on 18 April in Johannesburg, South Africa.
