Uhuru wants sugar industry crisis solved

Mumias - President Uhuru Kenyatta has vowed to find a solution to the ailing sugar industry in Western Kenya.
Speaking during his first visit to the Western region since his election into office, President Kenyatta said he will ensure that sugar companies in the region are properly managed and that cane farmers benefit from the crop, The Standard reports.
Het also urged the locals to diversify farming practices saying that the region is blessed with adequate rainfall that is good for dairy farming.
He called on Kenyans to remain united and shun tribal politics.
