Nairobo - Kenya’s tea exports dropped in February 2013 compared with the total exported in February 2012.
A total of 42.9 million kilograms of tea was exported in February 2013, compared to 44.7 million kilograms in February 2012, Capital FM reports.
According to Mrs Sicily Kariuki, the managing director of the Tea Board of Kenya, the lower exports stem from a fluctuation in demand. Kenya exported tea to 36 destinations in February with Egypt importing 10 million kilograms of Kenyan tea.
