Red flag raised over Thika Highway accidents

Nairobi - The African Development Bank (AfDB), a major financier of the Thika Superhighway have blown the whistle on safety gaps, following the increased number of accidents on the highway.
Speaking to Capital News as he inspected the highway, the AfDB Transport Engineer George Makajuma said there are a few sections that still need to be modified to ensure total safety.
He went on to add that he and his team were sent by the President of the Bank to asses the shortcomings on the road and one thing they found was inadequate signage, which is contributing to the road accidents.
