Nairobi - The row for the control of space at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) took new twist as duty free shops owned by Kamlesh Pattni were re-possessed by KAA on Thursday.
The move to take over the Diplomatic Duty Free Limited Company shops belonging to the controversial tycoon follows Wednesday night’s expiry of a lease agreement between Pattni’s Duty Free shops and the Kenya Airports Authority, Capital News reports.
A KAA official said that everything was done within the law, as workers who reported to work expressed shock at the development and claimed that they had not been given any warning of eviction.
