Nairobi - Orange Mobile Kenya has substantially reduced the cost of its products and services in a move officials said would reward loyal customers and bring new ones on board ahead of the Christmas season.
Speaking during the launch of the offer, Orange Chief Executive Officer, Mickael Ghossein, said the promotions would run until January and would include mobile and data devices to modems and mobile phones.
“The Christmas devices offer shows the company’s commitment to offering our customers quality at competitive pricing on our voice and data offering and at the same time giving value for money,” said Ghossein.
The mobile service provider will also be launching the new Alcatel T-Pop Dual SIM, Alcatel Pixi Dual SIM and lastly, the Nokia 105 non-data handset during the period.
Orange has more than 1 million subscribers in Kenya but has been struggling to increase its foothold on the competitive telecommunications market in the country.
Safaricom remains the leading telecommunications service provider with Airtel a distant second.
Telecommunications service providers have usually introduced offers to increase their subscriber bases during the festive season.
The offers range from reduced call rates, handset prices and attractive purchasing prices for data bundles.
