Nairobi – Kenya has signed a $600million (Sh50.4
billion) loan agreement with the World Bank to finance two major
projects in the country.
Sh25.2 billion will finance the Nairobi Metropolitan Services
Improvement Project (NAMSIP), which aims to strengthen urban services
and infrastructure in Nairobi and its environs.
The local authorities targeted to benefit from the funds include,
Nairobi city, Ruiru, Kikuyu, Kangundo/Tala, Thika, Mavoko, Karuri,
Ngong, Limuru, Kiambu, Kitengela, Juja and Ongata Rongai.
