Nairobi - The national electricity supplier, Kenya Power plans to revise electricity tariffs upwards even as Kenyans await the cut promised by the Energy CS, Davis Chirchir.
Under the new tariffs, both domestic and commercial consumers will pay 10 percent more than the current rates.
Fixed charges are also set to go up, with domestic consumers expected to fork out KES 150 monthly.
The new rates will be effective starting next month, according to the ERC’s billing structure formulated in December, Daily Nation reports.
