KRA phases out manual tax filing

Nairobi - Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) phased out manual tax filing of returns starting August 1, to encourage taxpayers to use the iTax system instead. In a statement, KRA said all VAT, PAYE and income tax returns should be filed online.
The Commissioner of Domestic Taxes Alice Owuor, urged taxpayers to update their details in the iTax system in order to access all online tax services.

ITax support centres have been set-up in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nyeri, Thika, Eldoret and Nakuru to offer any needed support, according to KRA.
It has also devolved its support services to all Huduma Centres Countrywide.
