KQ posts rise in passenger traffic

Nairobi - Capital News reports that Kenya Airways announced a 10.9 percent increase in the number of passengers flown within Kenya to stand at 228,119 in its third quarter ended December 31, 2012.
The airlines attributed the growth to the introduction of new flights to Eldoret and Kilimanjaro, however cargo capacity dropped by 10.7 percent.
In the Middle East, Far East and India regions, uplifted passenger traffic was at 151,100 an improvement of 15.2 percent compared to same period in the prior year.
