KQ codeshare with Namibia

30 July 2013, 16:07

Nairobi - National carrier Kenya Airways has signed a new code-share agreement with Namibia's national carrier Air Namibia to pave way for daily connections between the airlines’ Nairobi and Windhoek hubs through Johannesburg in South Africa and Lusaka in Zambia.

Under the reciprocal code-share agreement, Kenya Airways will place its ‘KQ’ code on Air Namibia flights from Johannesburg and Lusaka to Windhoek and in turn, Air Namibia will place its ‘SW’ code on Kenya Airways flights from Lusaka and Johannesburg to Nairobi, Capital News reports.

Mbuvi Ngunze, Kenya Airways Chief Operating Officer said the move will go a long way in improving connectivity within Africa and facilitate convenient travel for their passengers, whilst spurring sustainable development in Africa.
