KMC riddled in debt

Nairobi - Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Felix Kosgei faces his first challenge as the Kenya Meat Commission risks being wound up after the management admitted inability to pay its suppliers.
In a statement to Business Daily, KMC managing commissioner Ibrahim Issak said that the parastatal had not settled invoices worth KES 220 million from suppliers since October last year.
Issak attributed the lack of allocations from the government for the cash flow problems.
