From school dropout to multi-millionaire

Nairobi - Mohanlal Devraj Karania left school at age 15 to build Kapa Oil Refineries Ltd.
The 83-year-old businessman says he conceived the dream behind his multi-million business empire while working for his father.
He started by packaging of salt before venturing into manufacturing. Some of the products manufactured by the company include Kasuku cooking fat, chapa mandashi baking powder, Toss detergent, Numi instant noodles and Prestige margarine.
The business is currently run by Karania’s sons, Business Daily reports, producing an average of 780 tonnes of products daily.
