Festival hopes to push whisky sales in Africa

Nairobi - Whisky lovers will be prepared to indulge your taste buds in November, as the Love Whisky Festival, hits different venues around Nairobi,Spirits Business reports.
Kenya has seen their middle-class thrive in the past few years. The consumption by this group of people includes wining and dining, large SUV's and owning property in upmarket estates. It is no surprise then, that their tastes extend to expensive alcohol.
The festival is run by East African Breweries Limited, and will see whisky being promoted to one of the continents fast growing economies. However the country does have its challenges, with the country ranking among the world's half-dozen most corrupt countries. It is estimated that bribery and fraud cost Kenya as much as US$1 billion a year.
