Fees in public colleges to go up

Nairobi - Students in public tertiary colleges will start paying for meals and accommodation as is the case in public universities, as the government cuts subsidies.
The government plans from now on only to support tution only and the first to feel the pinch will be the freshers reporting in September at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Business Daily reports.
In a circular issued by the KMTC director Charles Olang’o Onudi, indicated that each student will have to pay for each meal before they are served.
