Nairobi - The Standard reports Electricity consumers will face higher bills after Kenya Power hiked power charges
Kenya Power revised upwards the foreign exchange and fuel surcharge components in the power bill.
In a gazette notice Friday, Kenya Power increased the foreign exchange fluctuation charge to KES 1.62 and the fuel cost charge to KES 6.21 per unit an increase from KES 1.04 forex charge and KES 5.38 fuel cost in February.
