Economic policies likely to stay the same

The new president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, will most likely strengthen ties with strong economies to aid wealth creation, Global Times reports.
According to professor Munene Macharia of the United States International University in Nairobi, Kenyatta is unlikely to change economic policies in a major way.
He might however try to strengthen ties with East African neighbours. Macharia says Kenyatta will probably continue along the path set out in Vision 2030 by former Kenyan president Mwai Kibaki.
