ERC: Illegal gas fillers on notice

Nairobi - Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Director General Eng Kaburu Mwirichia said on Wednesday that they have stepped up the surveillance of storage and filling facilities of Liquefied Petroleum Gas across the country.

Speaking to Capital News, Mwirichia said that the move came after they discovered that there are people illegally operating such facilities thus risking the safety of their customers, and that they will be dealt with according to the law.

In addition, customers were advised against buying LPG from such unlicensed dealers.
