EAC integration slowed by infrastructure

Nairobi - Poor infrastructure is the greatest impediment to regional integration, according to the Secretary General of the East African Community (EAC) Richard Sezibera.
Speaking to Capital News, he said that although great strides have been made toward the free movement of goods, capital and labour, poorly maintained transport systems limit this.
Sezibera is however optimistic that the infrastructure problem will be resolved in due time after the partner states agreed to prioritise development for the next 10 years in November last year.
