CMA, Kabarak launch university challenge

Nairobi - The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) in partnership with Kabarak University School of Business have organised the Kabarak University Capital Markets Challenge to be held at the institute's main campus next month.

According to a statement by the CMA, the University Challenge targets students from all the Kabarak University campuses, with a view to creating awareness and increasing knowledge about capital markets among the Kabarak University fraternity.

“The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) is keen to continue playing a critical role in the economy by facilitating mobilization and allocation of capital resources to long term productive investments,” said the CMA statement.

“One of the ways in which this broad objective is fulfilled is through investor education and public awareness initiatives,” said the CMA statement.

The Challenge will start on May 15 and end on June 20.

The CMA is a statutory agency charged with the prime responsibility of regulating, and facilitating the development of orderly, fair and efficient capital markets in the country.
