CCK issues ultimatum to broadcasters

Nairobi – According to Capital News reports, Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) has given broadcasters until November 14th to apply for new frequency licences or risk losing them.
This comes as the regulator seeks to enforce a new regulatory framework following the introduction of the Kenya Communications (Broadcasting) Regulations that is yet to be implemented.
Francis Wangusi, CCK’s acting Director General said on Thursday that the Commission shall take action against any broadcaster in possession of illegal frequency.
