Anxiety as CRA releases formula for revenue collection

29 February 2012, 07:44

Nairobi - The Commission on Revenue Allocation(CRA) has proposed a formula to determine how much each County receives once the devolution structures have been established amid concerns among various stakeholders.

According to Capital News, the stakeholders argued that the proposed two-percent allocation for fiscal discipline lacked criteria for containing corruption at the County level.

Speaking during the launch on Tuesday, CRA Chairman Micah Cheserem however dismissed the concerns saying if you do not vet your leaders and bring in honest governors, then they will steal your money because it is not our work to come and check it.
