According to the Daily Monitor, the police deliberately blocked Besigye from meeting locals in Teriet camp.

One person was injured.

Besigye is also currently banned from visiting hospitals, churches and other public areas after he exposed the poor state of a public hospitals infrastructure, leading to two nurses being sacked.

Just over a week ago, another opposition leader, Amama Mbabazi was also met with bullets and tear gas during his rally in Lango despite electoral law allowing for candidates to campaign freely.
