Music celebrities in Uganda at war

Kampala - Music celebrities in Uganda have of recent been much divided by politics, where some support the ruling party National Resistance Movement (NRM) and the other support the opposition.
They are trading accusations and abuses to the astonishment of most Ugandans. Their differences has become so much pronounced that their fans have also been engulfed .
During campaigns,a group of senior musicians in the country led by Bob Wine,Jose Chameleone and Julina Kanyomozi joined Museveni's camp and even composed a song entitled ''Tubonga nawe'' losely translated meaning we are behind you Museveni.''
The opposition had a lead singer called Adam Mulwana who composed a song entitled ''Tooka balabala,Besigye nayingiya''which was played at all Besigye's rally.
Now the oppsition has requested all its supporters to boycott all music festivals organized by singers who supported Museveni.
FDC spokesman Semujju Nganda told the press recently that they had mobilized their supporters to boycott Museveni singers.''They betrayed Ugandans,They should be boycotted.'' said Semujju Nganda
In response,Bob Wine referred to those who are calling for their supporters not to attend their festivals as cockroaches.He said,''Such people have little brains like cockroaches.As Ugandans we are free to support any poiltician we chose to.''
He has been supported by a cross section of Ugandans.
Secondary school teacher,Amon Mujala said,''It is childish to call for some people not to attend music festivals organized by those who think politically different with them.Democracy means that each person is free to chose any leader he feels like.'
