Controversial prophet predicts turmoil in Ghana ahead of polls

06 January 2016, 15:24

Accra - A controversial Ghanaian prophet has predicted that there would be a coup d’état in the west African nation as President John Dramani Mahama clings on to power, reports Peace Fm.

Founding leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry, Isaac Owusu Bempah, told the local radio station that the coup would be orchestrated by the ruling party as it fears losing in the presidential polls expected to be held in the oil rich country this year, said the report.

"I saw a very large dragon with three heads, it also had heads at its tail, then I saw the dragon touching its neck with its tail, and blood was oozing from the neck…and God explained to me that that was a sign of [a] coup coming to Ghana in the course of the year 2016…," Bempah was quoted saying.

He said the Mahama led administration would rise against itself in order to earn Ghanaians and the international communities’ sympathy as it extends its rule.

Bempah said this would be done as a step towards postponing the elections, thus, paving way for Mahama to extend his time in power.

He, however, warned that the opposition leader would "go into his grave with the key" as they were people within his party who were plotting to kill him, the report stated.
