Cape Town - Police are still on the hunt for a man who allegedly kidnapped and beat his ex-girlfriend so badly that her eyes couldn’t even open.
The 44-year-old woman was taken by the man on January 4, forced into the boot of his car, beaten, choked and had her own underwear stuffed into her mouth, the Daily Voice reported.
Western Cape police told the newspaper they believe the suspect is hiding in the vicinity of Goodwood, Parow, Bellville or Elsies River.
In response to a question from News24, police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said: “Kindly be advised that there [are] no new developments to report. Investigations [continue].”
