13 April 2016, 17:35

Cape Town - Police are still on the hunt for a man who allegedly kidnapped and beat his ex-girlfriend so badly that her eyes couldn’t even open.

The 44-year-old woman was taken by the man on January 4, forced into the boot of his car, beaten, choked and had her own underwear stuffed into her mouth, the Daily Voice reported.

Western Cape police told the newspaper they believe the suspect is hiding in the vicinity of Goodwood, Parow, Bellville or Elsies River.

In response to a question from News24, police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said: “Kindly be advised that there [are] no new developments to report. Investigations [continue].”

The Manenberg mother told The Voice she had been in a four-year relationship with the man from Steenberg but broke it off when she found out he had been married the entire time.

After kidnapping her, the man drove around with her for four hours.

Anyone with information has been asked to phone the investigating officer, Detective Morgan, on 084 048 6960 or 021 594 7032.
