Bujumbura - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Bujumbura on Monday on his first visit to Burundi since a political crisis began in April last year, according to an AFP journalist.
Ban, who landed late on Monday afternoon, is due to hold talks with President Pierre Nkurunziza on Tuesday morning after meeting with leaders of political parties and civil society aimed at giving fresh impetus to stalled efforts at resolving the 10-month-old crisis.
