Bar owners in Tetu district have agreed to form an association to work together with the government.
Senegal - Polling stations have started closing and election monitors in Senegal are now counting ballots from a vote that has tested the nation's image as one of the continent's oldest and most robust democracies.Sunday's election follows weeks of protests after the country's highest court ruled 85-year-old President Abdoulaye Wade could run for a third term. The voting was generally orderly, with the exception of the troubled province of Casamance, where a low-level rebellion has simmered for years. There, rebels attacked two vehicles carrying voting material and attempted to intimidate voters. The normally loquacious Wade did not give his usual press conference after voting on Sunday and was whisked away by bodyguards after a mob began jeering at him.- AP
