US: Progress in search for Benghazi attackers

Washington - A senior White House official says the US remains focused on finding those responsible for the 11 September 2012, attack on US diplomatic facilities in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
Susan Rice said on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday that the US has "made progress" in the search for the perpetrators, but she did not elaborate. She said US officials are committed to pursuing them until they succeed.
Rice was heavily criticised when she said in a series of talk show appearances five days after the Benghazi attack that it was linked to mob protests over an anti-Islamic film.
Al-Qaeda-linked militant groups were later blamed for the attacks. At the time she made that statement, Rice was US ambassador to the United Nations.
