Six brothers accused of shooting policeman

Lagos - Six brothers were charged before an Ebute-Metta Chief magistrate’s court, sitting in Oyingbo for allegedly shooting a police officer, Vanguard reports.
The defendants are Saheed Onilewaji, Lawal Onilewaji, Ramon Onilewaji, Azeez Sanni Onilewaji, Sulaimon Abbas Onilewaji, and Lateef Abbas Onilewaji.
They were said to have on July 26 at about 1 pm, at Oribanwa village, Elemoro, Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State conspired among themselves to shoot one Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Alli Thomas, with a gun.

Magistrate E. O. Ogunkanmi admitted the six defendants to bail in the sum of N50 000 with two responsible sureties each in like sum.
