Johannesburg - Women in South Africa live in constant fear
of being violently attacked, South African Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga said on
"We are always scared of being attacked at any time. If
you drive at night the first thing you think about is not only being
hijacked... being raped and killed," she said during a television program.
"It is a very unpleasant environment, you [also] worry
about your girls," Motshekga said.
She was participating in a panel discussion on gender
violence, in one of the South African Television stations.
