Nairobi - More than a 1000 Kenyan soldiers could soon leave their peacekeeping mission in Somalia if the Kenya government decides to pull them from the country.
This became a possibility after Sierra Leone boosted the number of Amisom troops in the war-torn Somalia, the Daily Nation reports.
Kenya has had a heavy military presence in Somalia since October 2011 where it takes on a pacifying role.
Eloi Yao, a spokesman for Amisom, says the soldiers from Sierra Leon will work together with the Kenyans in Somalia.
