Cannibal killer admits "I went too far"

04 February 2015, 09:14

Lagos - Andrew Chimboza has admitted in court that he had gone too far after stabbing a customer's jealous boyfriend to death, then eating his heart, the Mirror reported.

Chimboza, 35, pleaded guilty in a Cape Town court for the murder of Mbuyiselo Manona, 62, and apologised to the victim's family.

Chimboza, who runs a window tinting business, flew into a rage when he went to a female friend's house, to check up on some work that he had done.

He was confronted by her jealous boyfriend, Manona, who accused him of sleeping with her and struck him in the face. Chimoza then grabbed a fork and struck it into Manona's neck, before slitting his throat.

As he lay bleeding to death, Chimboza gauged his heart out and ate it with a knife and fork.

Appearing in the High Court in Cape Town, South Africa, Chimboza pleaded guilty to the murder and told the Judge " I am sorry for what I have done and have genuine remorse."

He then explained that he cut out his heart because it was full of hatred and jealousy.
